Personal information is collected under section 8 of the Canada National Parks Act and section 8 of the Parks Canada Agency Act to support the administration and delivery of the Canadian Heritage Rivers System. The personal information is used to respond to your inquiry and support activities related to the Canadian Heritage Rivers System.

Personal information collected enables Parks Canada and participating provincial, territorial and federal governments to respond to inquiries and, when necessary, to consult with experts, Indigenous peoples, stakeholders, or the public to ensure accurate and informed responses and effective program coordination. Personal information may be shared with provincial or territorial governments and to other federal government institutions as necessary to respond to inquiries received via public communications or outreach channels.

Your personal information is administered in accordance with the Canada National Parks Act, the Parks Canada Agency Act the Privacy Act and other applicable laws. You have the right to the protection of, access to, and correction of your personal information, which is described in Treasury Board Secretariat Standard Personal Information Banks such as PSU 914 Public Communications and PSU 938 Outreach Activities.
