Do you know a river champion who accomplished something amazing between 2020-2023? The Canadian Heritage Rivers System would like to recognize them!

First presented in 1994 as the National River Conservation Award, the Canadian River Stewardship award honours an individual or organization that has made an outstanding contribution to a specific heritage river or to the Canadian Heritage Rivers System during the preceding three years.

Rivers are important to Canada and Canadians. This award celebrates the invaluable contributions that Canadians are making to highlight the significance of rivers and their role in our past, present, and future.

The call for nominations is open until August 7, 2023. The Canadian Heritage Rivers Board could select up to three recipients..
